JANS – Women For Progress of Mississippi honored Dr. Felicia F. King, a licensed chiropractor, as Business of the Month for June 2024. Also, she was recently reappointed by Governor Tate Reeves to the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners as an “Individual engaged in the Practice of Chiropractic representing the Second Congressional District.” Serving as the first Black governor appointee in this position, Dr. King’s term runs through April 20, 2029.

Dr. King is a native of Indianola, MS. Her curiosity to alternative ways of healing led her to move to Atlanta, GA to pursue her calling as a chiropractor. She completed her studies at Life University where she was introduced to a whole new genre of thinking about healthcare.

“Through my experiences, I discovered a passion for helping myself and others change the patterns of thinking that interfere with the quality of life we all strive for,” she shared. “Using the awareness and tools from bumping into life lessons, I try to help others to alter their consciousness and create a life they choose. I embrace the reality that we are truly powerful beings.”

Among her many credits are serving as president and founder of Highway2Health Chiropractic Center, Inc. (2002-current); president and founder of Indianola Freedom House Charities, Inc. (2023-current); former member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. graduate chapter, Rho Lambda Omega (2015-2022); and former member of the Ausar Auset Society (2010-2016).

She has experience in the healing arts of energy work and one-on-one nutritional supplementation consulting.

Dr. King graduated from Gentry High School, Indianola, MS, 1993; obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Alcorn State University, 1997; and received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, 2002.

Services offered by Highway2Health include chiropractic, wellness, personal injury, Worker’s Compensation, and nutritional counseling/support.
