GALLERY – Women for Progress of Mississippi hosted its 2026 Judicial Candidate Forum & Meet & Greet, at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson

On Sep. 15th, Women for Progress of Mississippi hosted its 2026 Judicial Candidate Forum & Meet & Greet, at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson. The nonpartisan event provided attendees with an opportunity to meet judicial candidates, learn more about the courts and offices on the ballot and access voter information and community resources. The forum included opening statements and moderated questions for candidates in Hinds and Madison County judicial races. The event was held in partnership with the League of Women Voters of the Jackson Area, National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Central Mississippi Chapter, Mississippi Black Women’s Roundtable, The Jackson Advocate, Historic Farish Street Baptist Church and Mississippi College School of Law Black Law Students Association. The event was free and open to the public and was held as part of an effort to provide voters with information ahead of the November 3rd, 2026 general election. (Advocate Photos: Joshua Martin)
