JANS – WJTV-Channel 12 has a new face on camera. Jaylon Anderson recently joined the CBS affiliate and is wasting no time getting the big stories, including an interview with actor Terrence Howard who was in the capital city filming for an upcoming movie. The Jackson native is the son of Earl Anderson and Catina Jones, also of Jackson. Anderson is a 2021 graduate of Mississippi State with a degree in communications and broadcasting.

While at Mississippi State, Anderson worked for MaxxSouth Sports as a commentator and reporter. He also interned as a student writer at the Jackson Advocate.

“I’m excited to be back home, especially reporting for a station I grew up watching,” he said. In his free time, Anderson enjoys basketball, video games, and spending time with friends and family.
