Jackson native promoted to Deputy Fire Chief of Naval Air Station

JANS – A native Jacksonian, Twaskie Graham, was recently promoted to the position of Deputy Fire Chief of the Naval Air Station in Meridian, MS.  

Graham is a graduate of Lanier High School. After graduation, he immediately joined the Navy where he remained enlisted for six years and toured numerous countries. 

During his naval  tenure, Graham was deployed and fought in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  He completed his tour of duty and military service in Meridian, MS. Graham’s employment at Naval Air Station (Meridian) Fire Department spans three decades. 

He is the son of Ruby McNair and Supervisor Robert and Shirley Graham. 

Graham’s passion for working as a first responder was sparked by his late uncles, Joseph and Charles Graham, who are respectively the former  Fire Chief and Deputy Chief of the Jackson Fire Department.
