We Must Vote wrapped up a successful weekend at the 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, where thousands of attendees engaged in civic education, community building and voter engagement efforts. Throughout the festival, the organization connected with more than 4,200 people who took the power building pledge, committing to become more active in their communities. The activation created a space centered on connection, culture and civic participation, highlighting the importance of democracy, inclusion and year round community engagement. While the festival has concluded, We Must Vote says its mission continues beyond ESSENCE, encouraging individuals to stay involved and help strengthen communities through ongoing civic action.
