On Sep. 28th, Ward Seven neighborhood leaders gathered at Belhaven University for a quarterly meeting focused on connecting local communities with city departments, government officials, utilities, schools, law enforcement and other community partners. Leaders from the ward’s 20 neighborhoods had an opportunity to highlight ongoing work in their communities while connecting with organizations and officials who provide services and resources to residents. The meeting also marked the first time media were invited to attend, providing an opportunity to learn more about neighborhood initiatives and speak with participating leaders and community partners.
