On Jun. 9th, the Legacy League continued its commitment to developing student athletes beyond the game with a special “Off the Field” presentation featuring Major League Baseball executive Tyrone Brooks. Brooks, MLB’s Senior Director of Workforce Development and a veteran of more than three decades in professional baseball, spoke with players, parents, coaches and community members about the many career opportunities available throughout the sport, from scouting and player development to front office and administrative roles. Held at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, the event encouraged high school and college students to explore pathways to success in baseball both on and off the field, reinforcing the Legacy League’s mission of preparing young athletes for opportunities that extend far beyond competition.
