The 2026 R. Jess Brown Summer Music Program concluded with a special end of camp concert, as students showcased the musical skills they developed throughout the summer for tenants of the 414 Building on South State Street. Founded and directed by R. Jess Brown Jr., the program gave young musicians the opportunity to perform a variety of vocal and instrumental pieces, featuring recorder, ukulele, percussion and solo performances. The celebration also included a guest appearance by professional flutist and Berklee College of Music alumnus Albert Lamar. The concert served as a fitting finale to the summer program, giving students the chance to share their growth, confidence and hard work with members of the community while celebrating another successful year of music education.
