On Jun. 27th, community members came together in Jackson’s Farish Street Historic District for the inaugural Eddie James Reggae Festival, held in conjunction with the celebration of the 100th birthday of Charles W. Tisdale. The event featured music, fellowship and a tribute to Tisdale’s lasting impact on the community, while also recognizing the historic significance of Farish Street, the birthplace of the Jackson Advocate in 1938.
