JANS – Anyone looking for a way to get in on the ground floor of Amazon Web Services data centers career opportunities can start with a four-week paid training program at Hinds Community College’s Jackson Campus.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing $10 billion to build two data center complexes in two Madison County industrial parks, which is projected to create at least 1,000 new jobs in the Magnolia State, according to the AWS website.

The I2PA AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship program at Hinds’ Jackson Campus will not only train participants to enter careers at those data centers but will also pay them for 30 hours’ worth of work each week for the four weeks of training.

All supplies – including protective gear and a laptop computer – are included in the hands-on training program.
