Family, friends, colleagues, and classmates of Hinds County Sheriff Lee Vance gathered at the Mississippi Coliseum on Saturday, August 14 to pay their last respects to the lawman, who passed away suddenly on August 3rd from complications due to COVID-19. Notable attendees, such as Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba and former Mayor Tony Yarber, spoke on his behalf to a packed crowd. See 18A for more photos. (Photo by Jay Johnson)
