Pearl Street AME Church in West Jackson continues to shine as a beacon of faith, fellowship, and community outreach during its inspiring 2026 Women’s Day Celebration Month.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the church hosted its elegant and heartfelt “Scrumptious Scripture Luncheon,” honoring the treasured women of the congregation who are 90 years young and counting. The luncheon was filled with love, laughter, scripture, and gratitude as family, friends, and church members celebrated the wisdom, strength, and enduring faith of the senior women whose lives continue to inspire generations.

The atmosphere reflected grace and appreciation as honorees were recognized for their lifelong dedication to family, church, and community service. The event served as a beautiful reminder that age is not simply measured in years, but in purpose, legacy, and the lives touched along the journey.

Continuing this powerful month of outreach and empowerment, Pearl Street AME Church invites the entire community to attend its FREE Health & Wellness Expo on Saturday, May 16, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at The Pearl Apartments on Hwy. 80 in Jackson.

Chairwoman Dr. Deloris Bolden Stamps describes the Women’s Day Celebration as “more than an event…it’s a movement,” centered on renewal, restoration, empowerment, outreach, and service to the entire community.
