ETLF Ambassador

It has been 70 years since Emmett Till, a 14-year-old CHILD, was brutally kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by white supremacists. Yet, here we are in 2025, still fighting for justice. This country should be ASHAMED. His courageous mother, Mamie Till Mobley, fought until her last breath, and his family has carried this righteous fight forward with unwavering strength and resilience. I am humbled to be in community with Emmett’s family and honored to represent the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation as an Ambassador with pride and purpose.

Going on the Trail of Tears Bus Tour with Emmett’s family changed my life forever.

Walking the very steps that Emmett and Mamie once walked was indescribable.

Touching the ground where his life was stolen sent chills through my body that I will never forget. Sitting at the feet of Elders and LISTENING to their experiences navigating Mississippi and the Deep South as Black Americans was both a privilege and a reminder that the fight is far from over.

So many Elders told me they’re counting on my generation to carry this struggle forward. We have a duty to fight for our freedom, and we must win. But we CANNOT win without the South. Working on the ground in Mississippi and the Mississippi Delta humbled me beyond words. The South deserves so much more, and it’s time to fight for the INVESTMENT it has long been denied.

When the South wins, we ALL win.

As a future attorney, I know where my work lies. Thank you for trusting me with this responsibility and for opening my eyes in ways I never could have imagined.
