Visit Jackson Shuttle Service Paused for W.C. Gorden Classic

JACKSON, Miss. — Visit Jackson will not offer shuttle service for Jackson State University’s W.C. Gorden
Classic against Tuskegee University on Saturday, September 19.

“We apologize to fans who planned to use the shuttle and understand this change may be inconvenient,” said
Visit Jackson President and CEO Dr. Rickey Thigpen. “As we close out our fiscal year, we must be prudent with
our expenses and direct this service to games where we anticipate the greatest demand.”
Fans attending the W.C. Gorden Classic should make their own transportation and parking arrangements and

The shuttle service will return for Jackson State’s game against Southern University on Saturday, September
26. The larger crowd anticipated for that matchup is expected to create greater demand for the service, which
helps alleviate traffic congestion around the stadium. Parking, shuttle hours and other details will be announced
ahead of the game.
