State Rep. Bo Brown

The Jackson Advocate joins the community in mourning the passing of State Rep. Bo Brown, who died today at the age of 81 after a lengthy illness. A lifelong public servant, educator and mentor, Brown served Jackson and Mississippi for decades, including longtime Jackson Advocate sports editor (1970s-1990s), and as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives and the Jackson City Council, where he served three terms as council president. Brown’s legacy of leadership and service leaves a lasting impact on our city and state. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife, Imelda Brown, their daughters and all who knew and loved him.
