Motivational Mondays in the Marketplace: The Victory You Didn’t See Coming
by Dr. Kathy Amos
There are moments in life when God will show you something so simple, yet so profound, that it shifts how you understand His protection.
Recently, I walked outside and saw a snake lying in my driveway dead.
What made it so powerful was this: my husband had already killed it when he pulled into the driveway… and he didn’t even know it was there.
No warning. No awareness. No confrontation.
Yet the threat had already been taken out.
And immediately, revelation came.
As leaders, we often believe that if something is working against us, we should be able to see it. We expect to identify the opposition, track the movement, and understand the strategy. But the truth is, every attack is not visible.
Yet still… we win.
Isaiah 54:17 (NLT) reminds us, “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed.” Notice, it doesn’t say weapons won’t form. It says they won’t succeed.
There are “snakes” that represent hidden agendas, jealousy, quiet competition, and unseen resistance. They move subtly. They position themselves without announcement. And if we relied only on what we could detect, we might feel vulnerable.
But God never designed your victory to depend on your awareness.
My husband killed that snake simply by moving forward—without ever seeing it.
That’s how God works for you.
While you are walking in purpose, building what He has called you to build, and leading with obedience, God is handling things behind the scenes. He is dismantling traps you didn’t know were set. He is silencing opposition you didn’t hear. He is crushing what tried to rise against you—without your involvement.
This is the confidence of a Kingdom leader.
You don’t have to fight every battle.
You don’t have to identify every opponent.
You don’t have to track every threat.
You just have to stay aligned.
Because when you do, even what you don’t see… is already defeated.
So, keep walking. Keep building. Keep leading.
Victory isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s already lying defeated in places you didn’t even realize you were being protected.
And if you’re a leader seeking a place to grow, be strengthened, and stay aligned in your purpose, I invite you to join us at The Gathering Place Chapel.
We are open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for a time of prayer, presence, and personal reflection.
On Wednesdays, join us for our Upper Room Marketplace Gathering doors open at 4:30 p.m. for a hot meal and fellowship, prayer begins at 5:30 p.m., and our Teaching Hour starts at 6:30 p.m.
Come and be refreshed, refocused, and realigned as you continue to lead with purpose.
Because when you stay aligned… even what you don’t see is already handled.
