On Sep. 12th, The JXN Visibility Bridge, in partnership with Mississippi United, hosted a Get Out the Vote Rally at the Museum Trail Bridge on Riverside Drive in Jackson. The rally brought community members together to encourage voter participation and highlight the importance of exercising the right to vote ahead of the 2026 general election. The event was held along Jackson’s Museum Trail, a multi use trail that connects the Mississippi Farmers Market and downtown museums with parks and cultural institutions across the city.  Mississippi’s 2026 general election is scheduled for Nov. 3rd, with voters deciding races including U.S. Senate, U.S. House and several state and local offices. The state’s voter registration deadline for the general election is Oct. 5th. The rally emphasized civic engagement and encouraged Jackson and Mississippi residents to stay informed, register to vote and participate in the electoral process. (Advocate Photos: Joshua Martin)
