On Sep. 12th, Revive and Restore Community Corporation hosted its inaugural West Fest at Livingston Park in Jackson. The open air market brought residents, families, vendors and community partners together for an afternoon of shopping, food, dancing and outdoor activities. The event featured local vendors offering desserts, crafts and art, along with disc golf demonstrations from Jackson United Disc Golf Enthusiasts (JUDGE), zoo keeper chats featuring animals from the nearby Jackson Zoo and more. West Fest was organized as part of Revive and Restore’s efforts to highlight the resources, businesses and recreational opportunities in West Jackson while challenging negative perceptions of the community through community events and engagement.
