On Aug. 27th, One Voice officially opened the South Jackson Resilience Hub & Opportunity Center (SJROC), also known as “The Roc,” during an open house in South Jackson. Located inside the former Marshall Elementary School at 2909 Oak Forest Drive, the new center is designed to connect families and residents with resources focused on healthcare, education, transportation, minority contracting and community support. The hub was created through partnerships with community organizations and will serve as a long term home for programs and services aimed at strengthening South Jackson communities. The opening marks the realization of One Voice’s vision to create a centralized space where residents can access opportunities, support and resources while fostering collaboration throughout the community.
