City of Jackson, Shower Power, Inc. seeking donations for cold weather shelter

(Jackson, Miss.) – The City of Jackson and Shower Power, Inc. are seeking donations to the temporary cold weather shelter that has been set-up to assist Jackson residents who are homeless or without adequate heat during this cold snap. 

The shelter is requesting the following items: 

• Monetary donations (shower power.kindful.com) 
• Coffee/Creamer
• Snacks
• Bananas/Oranges 
• Firewood bundles 

– NO clothing donations need to be brought to the shelter unless it is new socks and underwear.
