JANS – Caiden’s Christian Academy recently hosted its annual Culture Fair, an exciting event where Kindergarten students were given the opportunity to explore and present different countries from around the world.

Each child was assigned a country to research and learned about its traditions, language, clothing, geography, and cultural values. With the guidance of teachers and parents, the students created colorful displays and simple presentations that showcased what they discovered.

This hands-on experience helped them practice speaking and presentation skills while also developing an appreciation for diversity and global awareness at an early age.

To bring their chosen countries to life, the Kindergartners dressed in traditional attire that reflected the culture they studied, making the event visually vibrant and engaging for families and classmates.

Many students also brought samples of popular foods from their countries, allowing everyone to enjoy a fun and educational tasting experience. From outfits inspired by places like London, Greece, China, Trinidad, Egypt, Ireland, and Brazil to snacks such as traditional breads, rice dishes, pastries, and flavorful island cuisine, the Culture Fair became a memorable celebration of unity and learning.

“The event not only encouraged creativity but also helped students connect with the idea that while people around the world may look, speak, and eat differently, every culture is unique and valuable,” commented Rhemalyn L. Lewis, DSW, LCSW, Administrator, Caiden’s Christian Academy, located at 4872 N. State Street, Jackson, MS.
