Dr. Bobbie Daniels named 2026 MSCPA Outstanding Educator

Bobbie Daniels, Ph.D., Chair of the Department of Accounting, Finance & Entrepreneurship at Jackson State University, has been selected as the 2026 Outstanding Educator by the Mississippi Society of CPAs (MSCPA).

“It is truly an honor for me to be recognized by the Mississippi Society of CPAs. The most fulfilling parts of my career have been mentoring and teaching students,” said Daniels. “This accolade is shared with my mentors, coworkers, and students who have helped and encouraged me along the way.”

The Outstanding Educator Award recognizes a full-time accounting professor who has demonstrated exceptional contributions to students, their institution, and the accounting profession. Daniels will be formally honored at the MSCPA Annual Convention in Destin, Florida, in June 2026.

Daniels has served Jackson State University for more than 26 years and is widely recognized for excellence in teaching, curriculum leadership, and student mentorship. She has received multiple teaching and advising awards. 

In addition to her instructional achievements, Daniels has played a key role in advancing academic programs within the College of Business, including leading significant curriculum enhancements and supporting initiatives that strengthen the accounting pipeline.
