On Sep. 26th, the 2026 Mississippi Book Festival brought thousands of readers, authors and book lovers to downtown Jackson for a day of panels, book signings, author discussions and opportunities to connect with writers. Held in and around the Mississippi State Capitol, the annual literary festival featured a wide range of genres, including fiction, nonfiction, self help and children’s literature. Attendees also had the opportunity to purchase books, meet authors and network with other members of Mississippi’s literary community. Since its debut in 2015, the Mississippi Book Festival has continued its mission of celebrating reading, writing and Mississippi’s literary heritage while connecting readers with contemporary authors.
