On Sep. 24th, the Mississippi Center for Violence Research held its fourth annual violence summit, at the Jackson Convention Complex. This year’s summit, titled “Linking Solutions to Violence: United Against Gun Violence,” brought together healthcare professionals, community stakeholders and residents from the Jackson metropolitan area for discussions focused on violence prevention and community partnerships. The one day event provided an opportunity for participants to share information, raise awareness and discuss approaches related to firearm violence, domestic violence and other forms of violence affecting communities.
