Celebrating the life of Dr. Pamela Felder

Jackson Public Schools mourns the passing of Dr. Pamela M. Felder, a distinguished educator whose life work was devoted to the service of scholars, schools, and the broader community.

Over the course of more than 25 years with Jackson Public Schools, Dr. Felder served with excellence and dedication as an eighth-grade Science teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal of Chastain Middle School, and Deputy Superintendent of Jackson Public Schools. Throughout her career, she exemplified strong leadership, an unwavering commitment to educational excellence, and a deep passion for advancing scholar success. Her contributions have left an enduring and meaningful impact across the district.

The Jackson Public School District extends its deepest condolences to the Felder family, her colleagues, and the many scholars and educators whose lives were enriched by her guidance and support. Dr. Felder will be remembered for her professionalism, compassion, and steadfast commitment to shaping the future of education.
