Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Rho Iota Zeta Chapter of Mendenhall, MS recently welcomed 25 ladies to the Sisterhood. These college-educated women have different backgrounds, but have found a common bond in the Blue and White family. Through their demonstration of the Sorority’s principles – Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood – each lady will use their skills and talents to continue elevating and serving the chapter as well as the community.

Rho Iota Zeta Chapter is an intergenerational network. The members continuously pour into one another while also giving back to the youth and the community at-large via various events and programs, such as the annual Scholarship Cotillion, Adopt A Highway Program, voter registration and voter turnout activities, school supply giveaway, and many more. Not only have the new members gained an extended family through the Sorority, but these women have also gained an opportunity to receive and be of resource to others.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University. Rho Iota Zeta Chapter was chartered in Mendenhall, Mississippi on June 19, 1999. Since its inception, the Chapter has contributed to the cultural, educational, religious, civic, and social development in Simpson County.
