The 48th Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival ‘Home of the Blues’
The 48th Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival is set to begin at Noon on the fairgrounds of the Washington County Convention Center, 1040 S. Raceway Road, Greenville, Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, with a lineup of bluesmen and women that is unmatched by any other festival in the country, with exception of the Chicago Blues Summer Fest. However, it does have the distinction of being the oldest continuously running blues fest in the country, dating back to 1978.
The Mayor of Greenville, Mississippi, Erick D. Simmons, and the Mississippi Action for Community Education, Inc. (MACE), along with the Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival Advisory Committee, are welcoming blues lovers, friends, and family to help preserve the music that is the foundation for America’s Music…The Home of the Blues.
The 48th Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival will feature live performances by entertainers showcasing musicians and vocalists from all age groups, representing the Boogie Woogie Blues, Low Country Blues of the Delta, Soul Blues, Southern Soul, and the Hill Country Blues of Mississippi, and a Touch of Zydeco Blues. The festival draws fans who come from all over the world on holiday, from Europe to Australia and across the United States. GRAMMY-winners, GRAMMY-nominated artists will appear. Festivalgoers can also interact with Delta natives and Mississippians, discovering cultural arts, crafts, and foods that are unique to the Birthplace of America’s Music.
