St. Joe cheerleaders and Spirit Stepper dance team members named MAIS All-Stars

JANS – Six St. Joseph Catholic School senior cheerleaders and two senior Spirit Stepper dance team members have been named to the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools All-Stars.

The All-Star cheerleaders are Simone Chandler, McKenzie Cummings, Alexa Donaldson, Emma Newell, Lily Ratcliffe, and JoJo Talley. The All-Star Spirit Steppers are Zaniah Purvis and Mykal-Michele Williams.

Both groups perform at school functions throughout the year including home-and-away football games, basketball games, pep rallies, and area Christmas parades.

St. Joseph Catholic School, founded in 1870 by the Sisters of Mercy, offers seventh- through 12th-grade students of all faith backgrounds a rigorous college prep curriculum grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The school, located at 308 New Mannsdale Road in Madison just west of the Interstate 55-Mississippi 463 interchange, is accredited by the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools and Cognia.
