According to Jasmine Dodd, “Beauty is rooted in nature,” and that’s why she utilizes honey as the main ingredient in her skincare business called The Herban Skin Bar.

At 29 years old, Jasmine Dodd is a licensed holistic esthetician and professional beekeeper. In 2023, Dodd created a natural skincare line, combining beekeeping with Fresh Luxe Organics and using the honey they produce, underscoring her philosophy that beauty is rooted in nature.

As the founder of Herban Skin Bar, a spa studio dedicated to eco-conscious skincare and holistic wellness, Dodd built a reputation for helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin through clean, non-toxic treatments. She created Fresh Luxe Organics, a premium skincare line crafted with sustainably sourced ingredients and a commitment to ethical beauty practices. Known across social media as “Fresh Skin’s Best Friend,” Dodd continues to educate and inspire a growing online community through expert skincare advice, holistic wellness tips, and sustainable beauty practices.

Now, through responsible beekeeping, she harvests and bottles raw honey while educating her community about the essential role bees play in environmental sustainability and natural skincare. Honey, long celebrated for its nourishing, antibacterial, and hydrating properties, has become a meaningful extension of her commitment to beauty rooted in nature.

As a holistic esthetician and eco-entrepreneur, Dodd says, “Honey is the optimal natural resource when responsibly harvested; it’s what makes holistic skincare possible. Therefore, I decided to combine honey, nature’s finest ingredient, with luxurious, effective skincare that prioritizes skin wellness without the exorbitant price typically associated with many of today’s skincare products.”

When asked what her flagship product is, she said, “The Herban Skin Bar’s most recognized product is Honey Glow Exfoliating Body Finish, an exfoliating body scrub.” 

Dodd’s expanding platform reflects a broader movement toward transparency, environmental responsibility, and intentional self-care. By integrating holistic esthetics, sustainable product development, community engagement, and beekeeping education, she continues to demonstrate how beauty can be both luxurious and environmentally conscious.

Dodd is a 2024 psychology major and graduate of Tougaloo College, and became certified as an esthetician from Aveba Art Institute in Dallas, Texas. Beyond skincare, she is committed to serving her community through education and outreach. Most recently, she partnered with the Arts Center of Mississippi to host Beauty & the Bees Beauty Camp, an initiative introducing youth to skincare, the importance of bees, and self-care while encouraging environmental awareness and confidence through hands-on learning experiences.
