Prof. Angela Davis to visit Tougaloo College Jan. 28th

JANS – Mississippi for a Just World (MSJW) and Tougaloo College will host Voices for a Just World Lecture Series: An Evening with Professor Angela Y. Davis on January 28, 2026, 5 p.m., at Woodworth Chapel on the Tougaloo campus.
The human rights activist’s last visit to Tougaloo was in 2015 under the presidency of Dr. Beverly Hogan. Dr. Ebony Lumumba, Chair, English Department, Jackson State University, will serve as moderator.
The fireside conversation will explore how freedom struggles in the Deep South are deeply connected to movements for human rights and dignity across Palestine, Sudan, and Congo.
