Pearl Street AME missionaries continue tradition of serving JSU students
JANS – The Laura Felts Missionary Society of Pearl Street AME Church in West Jackson once again demonstrated its commitment to community service by assisting students and families during Jackson State University’s Fall 2026 registration.
The Missionary Society provided complimentary bottled water, Gatorade, and words of encouragement to students and parents waiting in line to complete the registration process on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
“This is our fourth year providing what we call the Hydration Tent for students and parents as they walk through the campus registration process,” said Della Archie. “We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and support our students and their families during this important time.”
As a proud community partner of Jackson State University, Pearl Street AME Church remains committed to meeting practical needs while extending kindness, hospitality, and encouragement to those pursuing higher education. The church’s annual outreach reflects its ongoing mission of serving the community and supporting the success of future generations.
