OPINION: You can defeat the devil’s tricks in 2026

If you are reading this article, that means that you made it successfully through 2025. You may have faced some unexpected challenges. You may have suffered some setbacks, and you may have lost some battles. But you’re still standing. That means that God is not through with you yet. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. As we enter 2026, you’ll face some of the same struggles that you faced in 2025. If you are alive, you’ll be constantly fighting the world, the flesh, and the devil. But I want you to know that you can defeat the devil’s tricks in 2026. But how? Three ways! 

I. Study God’s Word: 

In Psalm 119:11 David says, “Thy Word have I hid in my heart.” You can’t hide what you don’t have. You must get into the word of God if you are going to be able to hide the word of God. I want to challenge you to make a commitment to spend some time in the word of God daily. God’s word gives us the spiritual nourishment that we need each day if we are going to be spiritually strong. 

II. Store God’s Word: 

Not only do you have to study God’s word, you must store God’s word. The devil fights with lies. And the only way that you will be able to defeat his lies is with the truth of God’s word. Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” When the devil attacks you; you don’t have time to go and find you Bible. You must have stored up God’s word in you heart so that you can use it when you need it. 

III. Speak God’s Word: 

When the devil tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, how did He defeat the devil? With the word of God. Each time He was tempted, He quoted the word of God. And you can do the same thing too if you study God’s word and store God’s word. Then and only then will you be able to defeat the devil’s tricks in 2026!
