The last time Deion Sanders and Eddie George faced each other, it was as players in the NFL in the 1997 season. Sanders was a member of the Dallas Cowboys and George was a Tennessee Oiler (soon to become “Titans”). George’s team bested Sanders Cowboys 27-14 that day. But 24 years later, the circumstances were different. It was a different setting, a different league, and a different outcome. Second year Head Coach Deion Sanders coached his Jackson State Tigers to a 38-16 victory over the Eddie George led Tennessee State Tigers in the 2021 Southern Heritage Classic. This year’s game drew over 46,000 fans. (Photos by Charles A. Smith/JSU Communications
