MSMA members vote to commend Dr. Mason-Bolden

JANS – The Mississippi State Medical Association (MSMA) recently invited its members to share the names of women physicians making a difference in their communities and in medicine. Some stories were shared in detail, others simply by name – but every recognition reflects the profound impact these women have on Mississippi healthcare. 

Among those recognized was Dr. C. LaToya Mason-Bolden, Professor of Anesthesiology and fellowship-trained obstetric anesthesiologist, for her “remarkable impact on medicine, education, and maternal health in Mississippi.” 

A trailblazing physician leader, award-winning educator, and national advocate, Dr. Mason-Bolden inspires through her service, scholarship, and advocacy – while balancing her roles as a wife, mother, musician, and community servant. She embodies the very essence of excellence in women in medicine.
