MSH honors Employees of the Year

JANS – Mississippi State Hospital (MSH) recently celebrated its Employees of the Year during a special 1990s-themed recognition event. All employees who had been named Employee of the Month in 2024 were invited to participate in the event. MSH Director James G. “Bo” Chastain personally thanked honorees Marie Bingham, Support Services; Kina Woods, Clinical Services; and Michael Robinson, Direct Care.

Bingham has served MSH since 1977 and serves as Custodial Team Lead in Environmental Services. A native of Jackson, Bingham was honored for her work ethic, positive attitude, and consistent pride in her work. Bingham is the first MSH employee to be named Employee of the Year twice, first winning this award in 2011.

Woods serves as a Registered Nurse/Infection Prevention in Service Outcome. A native of Natchez, Woods holds degrees from Alcorn State University, Mississippi University for Women, and Louisiana State University. She was praised for her teamwork, leadership, and commitment to patient outcomes.

Robinson was recognized for his compassionate care and leadership as a Support Care Professional III in the Intermediate Psychiatric Services (IPS) program. A Crystal Springs native, Robinson attended Jackson State University and is known for his cheerful spirit and dedication to patients and coworkers.
