Metro Jackson Section NCNW Biennial Legacy Breakfast set

JANS – The Metro Jackson Section NCNW (National Council of Negro Women) will host its 16th Biennial Legacy Breakfast Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. (seating begins at 8:30 a.m.). The civic organization’s signature fundraiser will be held at the Horizon Event Center, located at 1750 Bobby Rush Blvd. (formerly Ellis Ave.), Jackson, MS.

Honing in on the Legacy Breakfast theme – “Continuing the Legacy…Our Voice, Our Power, Together, Our Future” – will be guest speaker Dr. La Rhonda Odom, Social Justice Chair, Mississippi State NCNW. Also, a number of local community stalwarts will be honored for their dedicated service.

“We are extremely excited to recognize the rich legacy of some of Metro Jackson’s outstanding women leaders and volunteers. This year the following awards will be presented: The Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Award for An Exemplary NCNW Member; the Dr. Dorothy I. Height Award for Leadership; the Dr. Jessie B. Mosley Award for Outstanding Community Service; and the Mrs. Clarie Collins Harvey Business Award for Outstanding Business Woman,” commented Ada Miller-Robinson, President, Metro Jackson Section NCNW.
