On April 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., the Legacy League will host its “Hot Stove” event at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.
Legacy League is a summer collegiate developmental baseball league based in Jackson, Mississippi. Designed to provide high-level competition for college players, Legacy League emphasizes player development, community engagement, and educational opportunities within the sports industry while delivering family-friendly baseball to fans across the region. It also offers internships and fellowship opportunities for high school and college students interested in sports management, marketing, and event operations.
Tim Bennett, owner of the Hank Aaron Sports Academy and a Legacy League Commissioner, reports that among those involved in this year’s Legacy League activities are several former Major League Baseball (MLB) players, including MLB 2026 Hall of Fame inductee Andruw Jones.
Bennett explains: “This is an excellent opportunity for the much deserving City of Jackson and the State of Mississippi, but most importantly for the youth and young men and women alike who are desirous of a career in sports, be it on or off the field or in player development. There are many facets to this game, and we want to highlight them all, helping to lay the foundation and build the future of sports around this upcoming generation of sports enthusiasts and leaders.”
