JPS names LeSian C. Davis Interim Executive Director of Climate and Wellness

JANS – Dr. LeSian C. Davis has been named Interim Executive Director of Climate and Wellness. She’ll lead districtwide efforts in school climate, mental health, wellness, and social-emotional development, making sure scholars have the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. 

With 20+ years in K–12 counseling, Dr. Davis brings experience at every level and a passion for equitable access to mental health services. She’s been a key leader in implementing the nationally recognized ASCA Model, shaping counseling practices that help scholars succeed.

A Jackson State University alum, servant leader, and dedicated community advocate, Dr. Davis is all about uplifting scholars, staff, and families. Dr. Davis previously served the district as director of counseling services.
