Jackson, this is not the time to elect an Independent candidate
It’s time to ‘Party’ hardy!

The definition for party hardy is “being bold, vigorous, and capable of partying for a long time and having fun”. That needs to equate to voting democrat Tuesday, June 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and then enjoy the fruits of your labor over the next four years.
Electing the Democratic Party nominee for mayor, Senator John Horhn, is the only path forward for Jackson residents to improve their standard of living and reduce debilitating social ills. An Independent candidate will not be able to garner the necessary resources to effectively carry out seemingly sound policy changes, or new strategies, initiatives and programs. Even with the best intentions, Independent candidates Rodney DePriest, Kim Wade, Lillie Stewart-Robinson, and Zach Servis will most likely be unable to secure the funding to effect the type of transformation a crumbling Jackson demands.
Although the Democratic Party is at a critical juncture, it can’t afford to be ineffective, and Jackson voters can’t afford to get it wrong.
With Horhn’s election, not only will Jackson’s traffic lights once again signal green when it’s time to go, the city will be ready to move ahead with proven leadership connected to a political party with core values that include infrastructure development, job creation, access to healthcare, and fully funding public education.
