Influential Mississippians to be recognized for dedicated service
JANS – Our Mississippi Magazine will host its 2026 Honors Gala Saturday, July 18 at the Two Mississippi Museums. William “Bill” Bynum, founding CEO of HOPE, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. HOPE is a family of organizations that includes Hope Enterprise Corporation, Hope Credit Union, and Hope Policy Institute, all dedicated to bringing financial opportunity to the people and places that need it most. The event will also recognize the 2026 Class of Mississippi’s Most Influential African Americans. They are:
