Heal Mississippi Day Brings Prayer Leaders Together Across Mississippi for Historic Day of Unity, Healing, and Restoration

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI — May 20, 2026 — The inaugural Heal Mississippi Day was celebrated as a powerful success across the state of Mississippi as prayer leaders, pastors, community leaders, marketplace leaders, families, and citizens gathered in unity for a statewide call to prayer, repentance, healing, and restoration.

Prayer gatherings were held at two locations: the Mississippi State Capitol and The House of Ora in Canton, Mississippi, where participants came together in love and unity to pray for healing throughout the state of Mississippi.

Hosted through the City Calling Global Initiative and presented by Turning Point Fellowship Ministries International, Inc., Heal Mississippi Day was established as a movement dedicated to spiritual awakening, reconciliation, restoration, and collective healing throughout Mississippi communities.

The gatherings were centered around the scripture:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14

Prayer leaders traveled from across Mississippi to intercede for the state, praying for government, education, healthcare, families, churches, businesses, economic restoration, peace, unity, and the next generation.

“Heal Mississippi Day represents a clarion call for Mississippi to come together in prayer, compassion, healing, and restoration,” said Dr. Amos. “People from different backgrounds, churches, communities, and organizations united with one heart and one mission — to seek God for the healing of our land. This movement is only the beginning.”
