HCSD to honor alumni milestones with Golden and Silver Class Celebration
The Hinds County School District will celebrate generations of alumni this spring during a special Golden and Silver Class Celebration honoring two milestone graduating classes. The event will recognize the Golden Class of 1976 as it marks its 50th anniversary and the Silver Class of 2001 as it commemorates its 25th anniversary.
The celebration is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026, and will honor graduates from Raymond High School, Terry High School, Byram High School, and Utica High School. District leaders say the event will highlight the legacy, impact, and continued contributions of alumni who helped shape the school communities and the broader Hinds County area.
Members of the Class of 1976 and the Class of 2001 are encouraged to indicate their interest in participating as the district finalizes plans for the celebration. Alumni can visit the Hinds County School District website at https://www.hinds.k12.ms.us/ to submit their information and stay updated on event details.
District officials say the information collected will assist with planning and communication as preparations continue for the milestone gathering. Alumni are also encouraged to share the announcement with classmates and fellow graduates to ensure broad participation. Additional details about the Golden and Silver Class Celebration will be released in the coming weeks. The event is sponsored by the Hinds County School District and the Hinds County School District Foundation.
