G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center to celebrate grand opening and ribbon cutting of new Yazoo site 

JANS – The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new G.A. Carmichael Health & Wellness Center will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., located at 1206 Grand Avenue in Yazoo City. 

The new state-of-the-art, 23,000-square-foot center represents a major step forward in expanding access to quality healthcare and wellness services throughout Yazoo County and the surrounding communities. The new site will offer a comprehensive range of services, including an in-house drive-thru pharmacy, primary care, pediatrics, podiatry, women’s health services, sonography including 3D imaging, dental services, WIC services, behavioral health care, and more, bringing a wide array of healthcare services together under one roof for the convenience of patients and families. 

The facility will also feature innovative wellness amenities, including an indoor walking track, demonstration kitchens, and community wellness spaces designed to promote healthier lifestyles, nutrition education, physical activity, and overall community well being.
