This photo taken during the Artemis II moon mission shows the beauty and fragility of our planet. But it also shows Earth is all we have as far as the camera’s eye can see.

In 2026, we must acknowledge and reaffirm our solemn responsibility to be good stewards of our planet. This requires dramatically reducing fossil fuel use, eliminating toxic chemicals in air and water, and prohibiting dumping plastics and other trash in oceans. It requires too cessation of war – each bomb dropped causes environmental damage. 

Inside this edition is a re-print of an article I wrote several years ago. Unfortunately, it remains relevant today.
