The City of Jackson, in partnership with Tech JXN and Jackson Indie Music Week, held its inaugural Community Arts Festival in the art garden of the Mississippi Museum of Art this past Sunday. The event highlighted independent music, dance, and art in the city. Deputy Director of Planning Jhai Keeton said, “Tech JXN highlights breakthroughs in the tech world while Jackson Indie Music Week highlights the creative community. When you mix the two, you get new events like this. We plan on making this a regular event in the future.” (Photos by L. Sherie Dean)
