1% Sales Tax For City Infrastructure Funding (2014-2034): Championed legislation generating $14 million annually for city infrastructure, totaling an estimated $270-$300 million through 2034, ensuring sustained investment in Jackson’s roads and public facilities.
Dr. Robert Smith Parkway (1995-2005): Authoring legislation to secure $20 million to build the parkway, connecting West Jackson and Jackson State University to Downtown, improving access and fostering community development.
