JXN, Mississippi — December 3 — Due to forecasted storms Thursday and Friday morning, Visit Jackson has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Capital City Lights event. We’re unable to safely complete the necessary setup in these conditions. “We’re grateful to everyone who planned to join us and to our partners who worked hard to make this celebration possible,” said Kim Lewis, Visit Jackson’s Destination Development Manager. Stay tuned for future downtown holiday happenings, and we’ll see you next year for an even brighter Capital City Lights. At this time, the Christmas by Candlelight Tours on Friday and the City of Jackson Christmas Parade on Saturday will continue as planned.
