AARP’s Kimberly Campbell embarks on new pathway but still caring for elderly

JANS – Kimberly Campbell, former President of Mississippi AARP, has joined the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as the Deputy Director of Aging.

In this new role, she will oversee Aging Services and policies, Elder Rights and Ombudsman programs, and Housing initiatives. She’ll also lead the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to strengthen consistency, efficiency, and strategic alignment across the Division.

“Closing my ten‑year chapter with AARP Mississippi on July 10th was deeply meaningful, and I’m grateful for everyone who shaped that journey. I’m excited for this next chapter and the impact ahead,” she said.
