Now accepting applications: TEACH JPS Residency Program to prepare future educators
JANS – The new TEACH JPS Residency Program is accepting applications through Friday, May 2, 2025.
TEACH JPS is a comprehensive teacher preparation initiative designed to recruit, prepare, graduate, and retain highly effective educators. This is a grow-your-own initiative that places aspiring teachers in a two-year immersive residency leading to a bachelor’s degree as they work alongside experienced educators in JPS elementary classrooms. The program provides full funding for tuition, books, and fees in exchange for a three-year commitment to teach in JPS.
Interested? Complete your application and submit all supporting documents by 4 p.m., Friday, May 2.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or 60 hours of qualifying undergraduate coursework
A minimum GPA of 2.75 with a qualifying Praxis CORE score or ACT score of 21 or higher, OR
A minimum GPA of 3.0
