Drink up! Black Excellence Water is all about building healthier communities

The Bordenave family founded the Black Excellence Water Company, based in Columbus, Mississippi, in December 2024. Curtis P. Bordenave serves as the President, and his wife, Eurie, is the CEO. Additional team members and partners are Reginald Crear (VP), Dr. Kevin A. Brown (Partner), Derrick Smith (Partner), and Talmadge Robinson (Creative Director/Graphic Designer).
Black Excellence Water, Inc. has entered the “water wars” through a platform that not only hydrates the body but also educates consumers with every bottle. Black Excellence Water is sourcing premium purified well-water. A QR code on each bottle of water allows consumers to scan, learn, and access facts about Black history, including local and national trailblazers and past and present events.
According to Mr. Bordenave, “Our objectives at Black Excellence Water, Inc. are to educate and inspire youth, support the growth and development of underserved communities, and to present and amplify a positive image of Black culture.”
At present, Black Excellence Water, Inc. is available in local convenience stores, gas stations, Don Gabriel Markets (Jackson, MS), discount wholesale stores, and Sunflower grocery stores. “We are exploring opportunities with Amazon and Walmart to eventually facilitate national product distribution of Black Excellence,” Mr. Bordenave said.
